In a solar array where we have a lots of current that is charging a battery bank we need to control these charges. A controller is constantly checking voltages on the battery bank and if voltages exceed a specific voltage the panels are being shut off. Also if voltages on the battery bank are way too low the load is being cut off to save the battery from discharging to a dangerous level.
